DUTIES
With minimum supervision, the Intermediate Secretary will perform secretarial duties for the Head of the Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering department. This position requires initiative and judgement and is part of the team providing administrative support for the department. Duties include typing letters, memoranda and correspondence from dictating equipment and/or rough draft; providing administrative assistance for committees and budgets; taking and transcribing minutes of meetings; preparing agendas; scheduling meetings and providing necessary support; arranging travel; replying in person, telephone or correspondence to enquiries; assessing and inputting information on Banner Student and/or Student Web; maintaining a computerized and manual filing system; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) in secretarial work; completion of a two-year office administration or business administration program is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel is essential for this role.
SALARY $49,308 - $57,841 per annum (Non- Bargaining)
