The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Document Controller, with a key role in managing our vessel document control systems and procedures, to join our team in Blacks Harbour, New Brunswick.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining of our Transport Canada/Canadian vessel registry.
- Maintaining our MSI (Marine Safety Inspection) inspections with Transport Canada.
- Assist with any MTRB submissions to Transport Canada, for approval.
- Filing with Transport Canada for all vessel-related documents.
- Continue to build and develop our internal vessel library.
- Manage all related documents from 3rd party contractors, that would be submitted to Transport Canada (marine engineering firms, DNV, ABS, etc).
- Manage all related documents from other Canadian government departments or agencies.
- Assist with the filing of any Transport Canada / DNV supporting documents, required for compliance or audit.
- Assist with meeting compliance of vessels, based on Transport Canada regulations.
Qualifications
- Excellent computer skills, and knowledge of MS 365 applications.
- Self-starter, able to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Highly reliable, ability to problem-solve and document processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Able to manage multiple requests and projects within required timelines.
- Able to be an effective team player in a fast, ever-changing environment.
- Knowledge of SharePoint would be an asset.
- A post-secondary diploma in Office Administration is required.
