The Opportunity:
Port Saint John is part of the critical transportation infrastructure of Canada and a cornerstone of the New Brunswick economy. Port Saint John is Atlantic Canada's largest port by volume and has a diverse cargo base, handling 28 million metric tonnes of cargo annually, including dry and liquid bulks, break bulk, containers, and cruise.
Port Saint John is seeking energetic, proactive, and self-driven students to join our Port Facilities team for the summer from May 5 to August 29. The Port Facilities Students will play an integral role in providing support to the operations and maintenance of Port facilities and infrastructure.
Your Focus:
- General maintenance including, landscaping, lawn mowing, painting, small construction repairs, cleaning, etc.
- Assist the Port Facilities team as needed.
- Moderate to heavy lifting and general labour.

You Have:
- Some related experience performing general labour.
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative to complete tasks.
- Basic understanding of safe work practices.
- Transport Canada Marine Security clearance or eligible to receive.
- Ability to work independently and in a team with minimal direction and capable of prioritizing work as required.
