Job Description:

Department Overview:

Global Physical Security is a specialized team dedicated to the security and safety of our employees, customers and third parties, including physical assets and information. Using a risk-based approach, the team is responsible to identify, investigate, mitigate and manage risks by developing key strategies, designing comprehensive security programs, educating businesses within TDBG on security measures and protocols, and working collaboratively with internal and external partners. Security programs are developed to positively impact and support business operations, through security related policies, procedures, and projects, all focused on reducing risks and improving the security in all environments.

Reporting to the Senior Manager – Corporate Security, the Senior Global Security Analyst works in a team that plays a pivotal role in supporting all of TD's Canadian and International (not including U.S.) corporate office locations, assisting with corporate security incidents, supporting various corporate led/sponsored events, and leading small to mid-size projects. The Senior Global Security Analyst is often relied upon as the subject matter expert regarding life, safety and security for corporate office employees and assets when events (situational or real) occur.

This position demands the ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. The Senior Global Security Analyst is a key contributor to the success of corporate security operations, supporting the continuous improvement of security and operational effectiveness within the organization.

Job Description/Accountabilities:

  • Supports day-to-day physical security operations aimed at mitigating risks to colleagues, customers, and our assets.
  • Manage and support our contracted physical security personnel and develop strategies for effective security operations.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support the physical security mandate. This will include creating lines of communication and creating a good network of professional relationships.
  • Manage the daily operations of contracted physical security vendors, ensuring all operational requirements are met and completed as per agreements.
  • Lead efforts to assess the effectiveness of operational programs and initiatives, and report on related metrics on a weekly/monthly/annual basis.
  • Ensure that documentation is properly maintained in compliance with records retention policies. Establish governance strategies to monitor and report on standards managed by the corporate oversight management team.
  • Think strategically, focused on the bigger picture when problem solving. Develop a mindset of critical thinking, risk management and understanding the needs of TD's clients and internal business partners.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Self-motivated individual who can work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven knowledge of bank policies, standards and processes.
  • Having knowledge of these program is an asset (March Networks, CCURE, Everbridge)
  • Effective time management skills, critical thinker and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • A high level of professionalism and maturity coupled with good attention to detail is required.
  • Possesses the ability to effectively deal with change, help foster an environment open to change and be a strong team contributor.
  • Works within generally defined guidelines, accountable for completing a range of transactions or activities that involve single to multiple steps and several systems or applications characterized by a combination of manual and automated processes.
  • Knowledge of the business unit and operational functions for the business area supported as well as regulatory issues/requirements for jurisdictions supported is an asset.

Additional Requirements:

  • Understanding of business strategies, direction and goals of the corporation or its individual programs, and how to develop and integrate supporting physical security strategies.
  • University degree or college diploma in any of the following; law and security administration; police foundations; security management; project/program management; process improvement programs; business administration or comparable professional education/training in a field relevant to disciplines listed above.
