WorkSafeNB is looking to hire a 3rd or 4th year enrolled student to assist our Supply Chain Management Department at Head Office in Saint John. Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain Management, you will assist with contract management and other delegated administrative work throughout the summer months. This will ensure efficient Supply Chain Management Department operations.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

· Performing various types of data entry.

· Assisting in records management and maintaining associated procurement documentation files.

· Supporting special assignments and projects as required.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

· Current enrollment in a 3rd or 4th year post-secondary business program.

· Strong aptitude in MS Office and MS Teams.

· Customer Service or Customer Relations experience.

· Demonstrated interest in Supply Chain Management and Procurement workflows.

· Supply Chain Management experience and demonstrated knowledge, preferably in the public sector would be an asset.

· Familiarity with SharePoint Information Management software would be an asset.

Hourly Rates for Students:

· 2 years of university completed $19.20.

· 3 years of university completed $19.70.

· 4 years of university completed $20.20.

Written and spoken competency in English is required.

This position will require you to initially work at head office and then transition to working from home. You may be required, from time to time, to come into head office, but that would be clearly communicated to you.

Organization

WorkSafeNB administers no-fault workplace accident and disability insurance for employers and their workers, funded solely through assessments on employers. All employers having three or more workers are obligated to obtain compensation coverage.

WorkSafeNB is committed to preventing workplace injuries and illness through education and enforcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

WorkSafeNB is administered by a board of directors consisting of the chairperson, a vice-chairperson, the president and CEO (non-voting member), the chairperson of the Appeals Tribunal (non-voting member), five members representing workers, and five members representing employers. Other than the president & CEO and the chairperson of the Appeals Tribunal, members of the board of directors serve part-time.

Assessments are affected by the level of activities in the province's workplaces, as are the resulting claims. There are also substantial assets that ensure WorkSafeNB will be able to provide the ongoing benefits promised to injured workers through a wage loss recovery insurance system. These funds are invested in the financial markets and investment returns are subject to the ups and downs of the marketplace.
