East Coast Credit Union is looking for a Marketing Content Specialist to join our team! Reporting to the Manager, Marketing and Communications the Marketing Content Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing dynamic content and social media strategies that elevate our brand presence, foster deep engagement with our members, and drive our marketing efforts forward. This individual will utilize their expertise in content creation, SEO, and social media optimization to ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful content across multiple platforms.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to define and implement a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with the brand's vision, mission, and business objectives.
- Produce written, static, and video-based content that supports various department initiatives and campaigns.
- Write engaging, SEO-optimized content for a variety of channels, including blog posts, website copy, social media posts, email campaigns, newsletters, and more.
- Develop a social media strategy that drives our marketing objectives.
- Engage with the marketing team to lead the development of the social media calendar.
- Manage and optimize both organic and paid social media campaigns.
- Drive the growth of our social media presence and actively engage with our audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions to build relationships and foster community growth.
- Monitor platform-specific trends, such as reels, stories, and live content, to innovate and expand the social media strategy.
- Ensure all content adheres to the brand's voice and tone, providing a consistent and professional online presence.
- Support email marketing campaigns and collaborate on integrated marketing initiatives.
- Develop and execute strategies to identify and build relationships with influencers and content creators.
- Establish and report on key performance metrics, using data and insights to make informed decisions and improve future content.
- Stay informed about emerging cultural trends, new technologies, and platform updates, providing recommendations to Management, keep the content strategy innovative and competitive.

- A university degree or college diploma in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in content creation, social media management, and SEO or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- You are…
- Proficient with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva) for creating visual content.
- Exceptional at writing, proofreading, and editing content with high attention to detail.
- Strong creative and innovative skills to produce compelling and engaging content.
- Able to interpret data using Google Analytics/GA4 or similar analytics tools and refine strategies based on insights.
- Skilled in basic filming (e.g., iPhone) and video editing to create high-quality content for various platforms.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and encouraging others to participate in videos/reels.
- Prepared to be onsite as needed to capture content that supports the content and social media strategy
