We are currently accepting applications for Administrative Assistant to join our team for a Term Position ( Term - 12 Months )
Responsible to the Supervisor, Community Connections the ideal candidate will possess the following:
Qualifications:
- Dipoloma in Clerical/Administrative Support
- 1-2 Years of relevant clerical/administrative experience, preferably in non-profit organization
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email platforms.
- Advanced knowlede of Social Media platforms
- Proficiency in typing ( 50 words per minute ) preferred
- Experience in Homecare considered an asset
Responsibilities:
- To support Victoria County Home Support Services as they work with clients and community to implement Community Connections Programs and Agency services to support aging in place
- Ensures the smooth operation of the agency, volunterr programs and community engagement initiatives; involves administrative tasks, facilitating communication, and providing essential support to the team
- Receieve and direct in-person client and community member inquries
- Answer/direct incoming calls and emails
- Work with volunteers, office staff, field staff, and contractors to support the delivery of programs
- Support the planning of VCHSS events
- Prepare documents for financial remittance and complete deposits as needed
- Check postal mail on a regular basis
- Send email/fax communications relating to program delivery
- Work processing and spreadsheet data entry
- Participate in light cleaning duties along with other staff
- Other Administrative duties for Victoria County Home Support Services as needed
Salary: $20.04/ hourly
Hours of Work: 35 Hours bi-weekly
Effective: February 24, 2025 (Term, 12 months)
