Job Summary
This position reports to the Division Manager, Medicine Program, Eastern Urban Zone. The Social Assistance Worker/FAO completes financial assessments and reassessments for two provincial programs: the NL Insulin Pump Program and the NL Continuous Glucose Monitoring Pilot Project. New applications are received throughout the year and reassessments are completed annually. The FAO is responsible for all client contact/communication related to income testing as well as all associated work and ensures timely processing of income testing. The FAO provides input to the NLIPP coordinator on matters relating to income testing and will be assigned other related duties as appropriate.

Job Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution with a Bachelor's degree in Business/Commerce with major coursework in accounting or a three-year Diploma in Business Management with a focus in accounting is required.
Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with clients and others in a demanding environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of Community Services Program and accounting principles and practice.
Demonstrated strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience in the use of spreadsheet software is required.
A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
