Rosecrest Communities - The Sagewood

Rosecrest is a progressive community that delivers long term care services in a way that recognizes the strengths and abilities of individuals and their families. There are fifty residents living at the Sagewood, which is located at 345 Cobequid Road in Sackville, NS. There are four cottages within the home with 12 to 13 individuals, each with a single room and a private washroom. Each cottage has its own living room, dining room, bathing suites and access to enclosed garden spaces.

Eligibility to be Considered for the Position

1. Current license and registration with the NSCN, in good standing.

2. Routinely this position is M-F (0800-1600)

3. Ability to be On Call as needed to meet operational demands.

4. Minimum 5 years' experience in a leadership role in LTC.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ability to research and create evidence-based policies and procedures; then deliver educational modules to improve care and staff efficiency.

2. Ability to assist with administration of performance standards and evaluations for all disciplines managed by this role.

3. Support disciplinary actions and conduct investigations into complaints or concerns brought forward.

4. Promotes an environment that prioritizes safety for staff, residents and visitors.

5. Ensures all staff are abiding by policies, standards of work and safe work practices.

6. Actively participates in organization committees and standing meetings.

7. Coordinates resident admission, discharges and transfers via pathways platform.

8. Maintain good working relationships with teaching institutions; coordinate student placements and manage scheduling.

9. Liaison with external regulatory bodies.
