Simmons Honda is seeking a General Sales Manager to join our growing team!
As a General Sales Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the New & Used Sales Department, driving operations, sales, and profitability. You will lead the team, manage expenses, and be accountable for achieving sales objectives and overall team performance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to guide department performance and decision-making.
- Monitor department profitability, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective corrective actions to ensure financial goals are consistently met.
- Oversee and manage vehicle inventory, optimizing stock levels and ensuring efficient turnover to maximize sales potential.
- Collaborate with sales staff to ensure effective lead management, driving conversions and customer satisfaction.
- Foster cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring seamless operations and a unified approach to achieving dealership objectives.
- Lead, coach, and mentor team members, empowering them to excel and achieve both individual and collective sales targets.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the overall success of the dealership and department operations.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of previous sales management experience.
- Financial knowledge of dealership operations.
- A proven track record of setting and achieving sales targets.
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills to handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams, ensuring high performance and collaboration.
- Skilled in problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical thinking to address challenges and optimize processes.
- Excellent communication, consultation, and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and drive results
