The department of Financial Services at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Student Accounts Service Associate.
Classification: Full-time NSGEU, Level 5 Position
Starting Salary: $36,100 per annum (Step Progression: $36,100 to $43,102)

This position is within the Student Accounts area of the Financial Services Department. Student Accounts handles all of the financial transactions with students and is also responsible for responding to student account inquiries and administering University financial policies. Reporting to the Manager, Student Accounts and Other Receivables, the Student Accounts Service Associate:
- Responds to student inquiries via email, phone, in person or other modes of social media
- Provides excellent customer service to students on a daily basis
- Applies bursaries to student accounts; processes student refunds on a weekly basis
- Processes all payments including electronic payments
- Processes student loans to confirm registration and request fee payment
- Processes all billings and payments for sponsors providing funding for student fees
- Conducts financial analysis and other processing related to Student Accounts as needed
- Assists in follow-up of outstanding student accounts
Candidates must have completed a 2-year Community College diploma in business administration or another related area, and have a minimum of two years performing similar accounting and administrative functions. Effective verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills are essential. A high level of attention to detail and efficient time management and priority setting skills are also prerequisites for this position. Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with advanced skills in excel and use of technology to conduct financial analysis in the most efficient manner. Experience in using business enterprise systems for finance is required. Supporting all of these skills is a strong commitment to excellent customer service. Completion of a university degree would be considered an asset.
