About the Role:
We are growing and are seeking experienced Production Technicians in our Windsor, Nova Scotia facility. You will be responsible to operate, monitor, adjust and maintain pharmaceutical processing units and equipment in the manufacture of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and/or Fermentation products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating manual and automated equipment to perform batch operations.
- Controlling processes from start-up to shut down, including unit operations of equipment systems, recovery, filtration, and purification.
- Training will be provided for handling of the raw materials that we use here at BioVectra.
- Performing process sampling and,
- Collaborating with other departments on process and equipment training for successful completion of manufacturing batches.
- BioVectra has Standard Operating procedures for each of the work exercises that an operator will be doing on the floor, you will also provide feedback to improve this process.
- Supporting the manufacture of materials by conducting in-process quality inspections as required.
- Supporting Process lifecycle by reviewing and approving creation and changes to documents.
- Mentoring and training others with similar job duties as requested.

What You Bring to the Role:

- A passion for a fast paced work environment.
- High school diploma required.
- 2 years' work experience in a related field.
Bonus points if you have:
- Post secondary in an applicable field. Think Biotech, a bachelor's degree in sciences.
- Industrial experience in pharma.
- Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) experience.
