Purpose

The Assistant Manager contributes to the success of the Middle Office by achieving individual goals and supporting team strategies. Ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Support FX Sales and trading – This incumbent will manage and co-ordinate (when applicable) all front office trading and sales queries along with client/counterparty queries that relate to trade processing and the initial on-boarding/enablement.
  • Performing daily operational activities in support of GBM FX business lines with a focus on trade life cycle management, Trade Control, and Client Service. This support includes but is not limited to supporting the complete life cycle of a transaction from inception to post settlement. The trade support will span a number of specific functions from nettings, allocations, trade novation and corrections and problem resolution.
  • Management of interface mapping across the wide variety of internal/external FX trading platforms – Assist with the initial interface mapping required for the straight-through-processing of transactions and ensure mappings are maintained on a go-forward basis
  • Deliver high-quality output and support the Manager in daily activities and projects.
  • Guide junior team members and assist in performance management.
  • Operate independently, resolve issues with minimal oversight, and work within tight deadlines.
  • Foster a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and ensure seamless, compliant service. Ensuring clear, timely and accurate communication to internal and external clients as well as cross-departmental collaboration to ensure customer needs are met in a seamless and compliant manner.
  • Drive continuous operational improvement by resolving complex problems and creating measurable efficiencies.
  • Ensure effective operations and adherence to risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Education in finance and banking with a background in capital markets
  • Knowledge/experience of FX & FXO workflow in operations.
  • Knowledge/experience of FX source systems, Wallstreet FX, Murex and Bloomberg (preferred).
  • Strong technical abilities including knowledge of basic software engineering principles and experience in (SQL, VBA, Access, Excel preferred)

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
