Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Lead and oversee Bank's Tier 1 investments, Canadian branches settlements, process settlements with Group Treasury and GWO on Corporate and Structural positions related to funding hedges.
- Be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records of the Bank's investments. Prepare journal entries and analyze investment activities and accounting issues.
- Prepare the investment carrying value reports and maintain the capital injection sheets.
- Prepare settlements with GWO and Group Treasury on the inception and maturity of corporate and structural positions relating to funding hedges of the Bank's foreign investments. Control and reconcile the balances of these positions with Group Treasury and Financial Review.
- Prepare detailed Year-End P&L analysis for all Canadian branches and assist in the settlement process.
- Prepare the Bank's monthly entries, which include entries on equity swaps, and net investment hedges.
- Prepare Bank's monthly Canadian and Foreign Branch Retained Earning reconciliation.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, and/or an Accounting major.
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with the development of macros, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Peoplesoft EGL and OBI, including the Smartview add-in is an asset.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Must be organized, accurate and be able to meet tight deadlines.
- A committed and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
