The opportunity
The Workplace Service staff are an integral part of the Workplace Services Team and is a pivotal force in the management of Facilities and Office Services-related activities. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to performing various duties within office services including Mailroom duties, hospitality and meeting services and supplies/equipment maintenance.
Your key responsibilities
- Processes mail utilizing pre-determined guidelines for most cost-effective method for mailing/delivering documents and affixes proper postage.
- Prints and assembles various documents such as proposals, financial statements, etc.
- Receives, logs and sorts mail/packages appropriately with special attention to time sensitive mail/materials.
- Monitors stationery levels and places orders with stationery coordinator to maintain stocking of supplies.
- Assists with the preparation, stuffing and metering of envelopes for large distributions (internal/external) mailings
- Processes local and overnight/express deliveries and couriers by preparing shipping labels and tracking documents.
- Will assist in the performance of other Central Service duties when required due to workflow / staffing needs.
- Answer inquiries from employees about posting rates and duration, provide information on special posting packages and promotions
- May performs other tasks as required (i.e. assist with meeting set up/take down, including catering, photocopying/scanning, binding, internal moves etc.)
- Keep mailroom space organized and tidy
- May perform Reception coverage on a daily basis for breaks and during receptionist absences

To qualify for the role you must have
- High School Diploma
- 1 to 2 years prior experience
- Bilingual in English and French
- Ability to lift 20 pounds and physically participate in internal moves, supplies distribution and equipment transfers
Ideally, you'll also have
- Handy man/woman experience
