(One Year Contractual Position)
DUTIES
The Administrative Staff Specialist II will be responsible for providing financial and administrative assistance in the Finance office of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science. Duties include performing a variety of administrative support activities; coordinating the receipt, review, and processing of a variety of purchasing, accounting, and human resource documents; liaising with respective administrative departments on policy issues; preparing accounting reports; reconciling and monitoring research grants, contracts and operating financial statements; maintaining comprehensive records of finances and accounts; identifying efficiencies and developing related policies; maintaining an internal procedures manual; preparing financial and analytical reports; preparing travel authorization forms, processing travel claims and travel statements for faculty, staff and students; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in administrative work; completion of most university coursework towards an undergraduate degree in business administration, public administration or organizational management is required; or an equivalent combination of experience and training will be considered. Extensive knowledge of financial administrative software and Microsoft Excel is required. Knowledge of University policies and procedures, Banner Finance and FAST will be considered assets.
SALARY $59,901 - $70,273 per annum (Non- Bargaining)
