JOB PURPOSE
The Speech Language Pathology Supervisor is responsible for supervising the delivery of assessment, consultation and rehabilitation services for individuals with communication and/or swallowing disorders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Disorders. Must be registered and a member in good standing with the New Brunswick Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists and eligible for membership with the Speech Language Pathologists and Audiology Canada (SAC). Must have three years of related experience.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Good work record.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Speech Language Pathology Supervisor is responsible for:
- Assigning, overseeing, reviewing and evaluating service delivery
- Planning, directing and evaluating therapy programs and services
- Providing staff orientation and coordinating staff development programs
- Serving as a clinical practice leader
- Developing and/or ensuring compliance with standards, policies and procedures
- Coordinating or participating in student placements
- Performing the work of speech language pathologist
