The Department of Health is seeking individuals to fill current and future, temporary and permanent Monitoring and Compliance Officer opportunities within the Financial Services Branch in Fredericton.
Reporting to the Manager of Monitoring and Compliance, the successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of monitoring departmental billings and related utilization of the billing systems, including project related activities.
As a Monitoring and Compliance Officer you will be responsible for:
- Internal audit procedures such as creating an audit plan;
- Collecting and analyzing documents;
- Financial and/or system investigations;
- executing data research;
- preparing detailed written reports for presentation to groups of professionals and internal/external stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:
- University Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline and a minimum of two (2) years of experience.
- Or a two (2) year college diploma in Business Administration or related field and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
- Completed coursework in Medical Terminology or Anatomy & Physiology.
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
- Some positions require written and spoken competence in French and English. Others will require written and spoken competence in English only. Please state your language capability on your application.
A candidate who meets the essential qualifications, except for Medical Terminology, may be considered if they demonstrate on their application that they are enrolled in or are willing to enroll in an online Medical Terminology Certificate. Successful completion must be achieved.

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.
Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates that possess one or more of the following asset qualifications:
- One (1) year of work experience in a health care environment
- One (1) year of work experience in data analytics
- One (1) year of work experience in auditing
Candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications, in addition to the essential qualifications, in order to be given further consideration.
Operational Requirements: The following operational requirement is also required:

Salary: $51,662 to $72,176 per annum (Pay Band 3)
