The Department of Health is seeking two individuals to join the Innovation and eHealth Branch as Business Solutions Support Specialists, in Fredericton.

As a Business Solutions Support Specialist, you will:

  • Support the Innovation and eHealth Branch with implementing, updating and managing administrative solutions for end-users, including NB Citizens, clinicians and health care administrators;
  • Act as point of contact between users and business solutions (Communication);
  • Liaise with the Department of Health/Service New Brunswick Help Desk;
  • Answer and follow up on questions related to various business solutions (phone and email);
  • Redirection of questions to appropriate business liaison;
  • Manage user profiles and logs (privileges/ creation/ modifications to user accounts within applications);
  • Support end-user training;
  • Configure application (new site, access delegation);
  • Update policies and procedures, Training, and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents;
  • Provide help with business workflow/user acceptance testing;
  • Act as a Superuser for business solutions;
  • Maintain documentation on support issues, service access and change requests;
  • Support resolution and tracking of incidents;
  • Manage Activity Dashboards (non-Clinical triage);
  • Support and coordinate issue resolution activities with all business solution stakeholders (internal and external to the Department of Health);
  • Support Auditing and data integrity functions.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field.
  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.

Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who possess the following asset qualifications:

  • Application support experience.
  • Technical user support role experience.
  • Technical and Business training.
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience.

Candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application the asset qualification, in addition to the essential qualifications, in order to be given further consideration.

Salary: $51,662 to $72,176 per annum (Pay Band 3)
