Definition of work:
Reporting to the Manager of Site Operations at Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre, this Manager will be accountable for delivering a seamless continuum of services to the residents of New-Wes-Valley. This includes operational responsibilities for various clinical services. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Manager of Site Operations, Regional Program Directors/Managers, Physicians and local networks as well as individual community groups and organizations. The successful candidate must demonstrate an awareness of and be responsible for promoting and supporting person-and family-centered care, demonstrate a commitment to safety and partner with all team members to improve worker and patient safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks and implementing improvements.
Required qualifications:
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual, able to apply his/her creativity in assisting the ongoing operation and development of client care services in the Dr. Y.K. Jeon Kittiwake Health Centre Health Services Area. Other qualifications include:
• An undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline.
• Experience in a long-term care and rural health setting.
• Experience and training in management including organizational change, utilization management, strategic planning, budgeting, quality initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and human relations skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and conflict resolution skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills.
• Consistent demonstration of NL Health Services corporate values; Innovation, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence (I CARE)
• A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required for this position.
• A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority.
