AirPro SAR Services is currently looking for a Technical Material Specialist to join our team in Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Canada.

AirPro , a joint venture between Airbus Defence and Space and PAL Aerospace, is fully committed to the successful operation of Canada's Fixed Wing Search and Rescue Aircraft Replacement (FWSAR) program. At AirPro, we manage the daily operations of all Integrated Support Services (ISS) activities, encompassing engineering, logistics, maintenance, training, IT systems, infrastructure, and material support throughout the entire product lifecycle. Our dedicated team ensures seamless operations, keeping Canada's state-of-the-art search and rescue aircraft mission-ready and performing at their best.

The role of Technical Material Specialist is at the heart of ensuring peak performance in logistics contracts, driving demand anticipation, and mastering inventory management. You'll manage material performance-based activities for the FWSAR contract, playing a pivotal role in supporting Canada's cutting-edge C295 aircraft fleet. This dynamic position offers a chance to excel in a high-stakes environment, where your expertise will directly impact the success and readiness of a vital national asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Track and manage Initial Parts List (IPL) and spares consumption, ensuring inventory is optimized and supply discipline is maintained, including Reorder Point (ROP) management.

o Investigate root causes of out-of-stock (MTO) issues and suggest fixes.

o Prepare supplier forecasts, considering future material demand triggers.

o Propose actions to reduce MTO and improve supply chain efficiency.

  • Align aircraft maintenance and operational material requirements.

o Analyze pre- and post-maintenance events for FWSAR to improve future fleet material needs.

o Streamline material lists for maintenance events.

  • Provide daily SAP support for FWSAR MCC Technical Material Managers (TMMs) and Warehouse Operators (WOs).

o Perform deep dives into SAP for root cause analysis and present findings.

o Develop and deliver SAP training materials for TMSs, WOs, and other AirPro members.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree or post-secondary diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain or related discipline.
  • Experience in material management, inventory planning, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Advanced ability to handle large data sets.
  • Operational knowledge of Excel and database management. (V-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP or SQL is an asset.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong planning and process management skills with an operational focus.
  • Target-oriented with a strong capacity for planning and managing processes.
