WorkSafeNB is seeking a Manager, Clinical Partner Relations. Reporting to the Director of Health Services, you and your team will be responsible for implementing a strategic approach to ensure that WorkSafeNB's external rehabilitation provider, and contracted consultant, networks are healthy, accessible, and adaptable to meet WorkSafeNB's rehabilitation goals for injured workers.

Your key areas of responsibility are as follows:

· Clinical Partner Relations - The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that the health of WorkSafeNB's rehabilitation service provider network (Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health, and Allied Healthcare Professionals) is valued, nurtured and effective by utilizing the established framework that aligns people and processes in the various stages of the partnership: the identification, formation, onboarding, performance management, and evaluation. Your team will consist of rehabilitation and administrative professionals, including Business Partners, each with an established portfolio of clinical providers.

· Management of external clinical consultants - You and your team will ensure that WorkSafeNB's external clinical consultants (Medical, Psychology, and other Allied Healthcare Professionals) are valued and effective in meeting the consulting needs to optimize the clinical management and recovery of injured workers.

· People Leadership - To provide strong people leadership that enables others to grow, develop and achieve career aspirations. Drives engagement of the team to enable their performance, development, and overall employee experience while developing superior partner relationships.

· Operational Performance - Implement the Division's business strategy by developing the processes, standards, objectives and measures for the business unit and team to maximize productivity, business performance and efficiency, and ensure quality control across the clinical business partners.

· Financial management - Manage the business unit's budget and spending. Ensure deviations from plan are identified to the Director along with drivers clearly identified.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

· Bachelor's degree in a clinical healthcare related discipline.

· Minimum 5 years' experience leading teams or supervisory experience.

· Experience working with individuals and teams to improve personal and operational performance.

· Effective communication and change leadership skills.

· Commitment to principles of client service and client centered thinking ("outside in").

· Understanding and proficiency in fiscal management and budgeting accountability.

· Successfully leading change.

· Contract negotiation and management experience

· Financial Management

· Knowledge and experience in claims management is an asset.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Spoken competence in French is an asset.

Pay Scale $106,995.51 to $125,877.07

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

WorkSafeNB administers no-fault workplace accident and disability insurance for employers and their workers, funded solely through assessments on employers. All employers having three or more workers are obligated to obtain compensation coverage.

WorkSafeNB is committed to preventing workplace injuries and illness through education and enforcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

  • Represent stakeholders and provide recommendations and advice to government with respect to legislation, and publish such reports, studies, and recommendations WorkSafeNB considers advisable.

Assessments are affected by the level of activities in the province's workplaces, as are the resulting claims. There are also substantial assets that ensure WorkSafeNB will be able to provide the ongoing benefits promised to injured workers through a wage loss recovery insurance system. These funds are invested in the financial markets and investment returns are subject to the ups and downs of the marketplace.
