About the Role
The Compliance & Administration Co-Ordinator is responsible for supporting compliance efforts and ensuring our organization adheres to regulatory requirements. This position includes maintaining compliance documentation, assisting with audits, and providing administrative support to the Accounting/Finance department.
Key Responsibilities
Privacy Officer Duties
The Privacy Officer at OMISTA ensures compliance with PIPEDA and other privacy regulations, conducts privacy risk assessments, and manages data breach responses. The Privacy Officer also facilitates member privacy requests and oversees third-party vendor compliance.
Compliance & Fraud
This position will serve as Deputy Compliance Officer and help to monitor and investigate activities for AML compliance, prepare and submit regulatory reports (e.g., LCTRs, SARs), and assist with fraud prevention and unclaimed property reporting.
Administrative Support
The incumbent will perform internal bank reconciliations and oversee card administration, act as a backup for Accounts Payable and Clearing Officer duties, and support centralized operational functions and manage rate changes.
The Ideal Candidate
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with multiple departments and stakeholders.
Education and Training
- High school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Good knowledge of privacy regulations, AML compliance, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in software and industry-specific terminology.
