Job Summary
The Laundry Worker I in Environmental Services is responsible for operating a variety of commercial laundry equipment, collecting, sorting, washing, folding, pressing and distributing laundry and linens, delivering clean linens to appropriate hospital areas, maintaining cleanliness in the Laundry and other related duties as required.

Regularly lifts or moves bags of laundry/carts up to 20 lbs. and occasionally lifts or moves soiled or wet linens that may weigh up to 40 lbs.
Regularly requires body movements and neck postures such as bending and stretching, turning, pushing and pulling of laundry carts, as well as constant standing and walking.
Regularly requires alertness and concentration while frequently completing repetitive tasks and constant auditory/visual concentration.
Job Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
Knowledge in the treatment of materials and experience in the operation of laundry equipment would be an asset.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
