As the Manager, Day-to-Day Product Analytics, you will be accountable for driving strategic analysis to support business strategies for the Day-to-Day Banking portfolios. You will deliver strategic and tactical knowledge to facilitate the development and execution of strategies that will enable profitable growth of the Deposit customer base, increase customer engagement and optimize margins of acquisition and engagement campaigns. You will work with diverse stakeholders across Scotiabank to deliver analytical solutions to Day-to-Day business partners based on excellent analytical, strategic, communication and relationship management skills.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Lead Strategic Product and Customer Analysis

  • Conduct effective manipulation and calculation of data, turning it into business insights.

  • Conduct analysis related to business strategies and portfolio performance supporting the Deposit business line.

  • Identify portfolio trends and key statistics using advanced analytics to inform business strategies.

  • Provide analytics support to all areas of Retail Deposits including Business development, Risk, Acquisition, and Customer.

  • Work with Finance and Product teams to develop business cases report results to Senior Management.

Campaign and Acquisition Management

  • Lead the sizing and targeting of customer focused marketing campaigns, as well as post-campaign analysis including actionable insights from the campaign performance.

  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to management and stakeholders to maximize business results from campaigns.

Collaborate with Analytics Peers to Deliver Business Oriented Solutions

  • Identify and clearly communicate the business problem, translating it to well-defined analytics objectives, and executing on those objectives both individually and through collaboration with analytics peers.

  • Continuously acquire and enhance knowledge of business/product strategies, competitive practices, and advanced analytical tools/methodologies.

Deliver Ad-Hoc Analysis

  • Effectively manage and prioritize multiple business initiatives, projects, and ad-hoc analysis with business stakeholders and external partners.

  • Provide timely and relevant insights through ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Lead Development of Day-to-Day Focused Dashboards and Reports

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide insights into day-to-day banking operations and performance.

  • Ensure effective and timely communication of strategic and operational results to business teams

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or Statistics; MBA, CFA or Master in Analytics preferred

  • Multiple years of related analytical experience, including statistical analysis

  • Working knowledge of Deposit products is a strong asset (i.e. Cheqing accounts, GICs, etc.)

  • Proficiency using GCP, BigQuery, Python, SAS and SQL server database programming

  • Experience accessing, compiling and analyzing large volume data into usable information

  • Working knowledge of Hadoop, Big Data and Data Lake

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office suite

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with clients, vendors and management

  • Strong prioritizing, planning, analytical, presentation, project management and relationship building skills

  • Comfortability working in a hybrid work environment
