About Our Opportunity
Do you want to be part of the team impacting exciting changes in Nova Scotia's housing system? Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Policy and Strategy, the Policy Analyst works closely with a high-performing team to support the review, development, and evaluation of policies for the NSPHA.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research, analysis, measurement, and evaluation of policy issues to provide strategic advice to senior leadership.
  • Review existing public housing policies, including conducting jurisdictional scans, consulting with NSPHA staff, researching best practices, and developing options.
  • Provide support to corporate functions, including business planning, accountability reports, and briefing notes.
Qualifications
  • Must be currently enrolled in a Master of Public Administration Degree program or similar program.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across different divisions of the organization.
  • Research and analytical skills, including experience collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting information and data.
  • Knowledge of statistics and statistical visualization techniques.

Assets

  • Experience with policy or process interpretation, evaluation, and review.
  • Understanding of housing issues and priorities.

Salary Range: $19.03 - $24.29
Work Week: 35 hours
