SCHEDULE: Day, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Chief Pharmacist, the incumbent is responsible for the management of medications, ensures the availability of medications according to the Drug Formulary and monitors their use. Involved in various initiatives aimed at the safe use of medications, such as Accreditation Canada's medication management standard and the development of drug protocols. Actively participates in local and provincial committees related to medication management. Also acts as a pharmaceutical information resource for pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered with the New Brunswick College of Pharmacists and licensed to practice in New Brunswick;
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in hospital pharmacy;
- Master's or residency in hospital pharmacy is an asset;
- Proven initiative, including the ability to make recommendations to improve processes;
- Proven skills in coaching, guidance, teaching and professional development;
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven leadership skills;
- Proven ability to function in a changing work environment;
- Proven ability to organize and manage the assigned workload;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
- Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
