JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Director -Strategic and Organizational Planning, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating Community Health Needs Assessments (CHNAs) in the various communities served by Vitalité Health Network and deploying Learning Communities. The successful candidate will support the Network's decision-makers, including the Leadership Team, directors, managers, and Board of Directors, by addressing issues related to community health needs assessments and learning communities. Also supervises the staff of the Community Health Needs Assessment team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health care field;
  • Master's degree in public health, health services management, public administration, or a related field;
  • Training in assessment or willingness to take it;
  • Minimum of seven years' experience in assessment or research, analysis and implementation of programs in the health field or public sector;
  • Minimum of seven years' work within a complex organization;
  • Relevant management experience;
  • Proven analytical and writing skills and ability to see the "big picture";
  • Understanding of organizational needs and priorities, and of the health system;
  • Statistical knowledge;
  • Recognized leadership skills;
  • Proficiency using computer tools;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in both official languages;
  • Ability to mobilize staff to achieve the organization's objectives;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Proven group facilitation skills;
  • Ability to manage a work team;
  • Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
  • Ability to manage numerous projects/tasks at the same time;
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service;
  • Ability to prepare and analyze complex documents and reports;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines;
  • Good organizational skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
