Job Summary
Cardiovascular Technologist I is responsible for operating specialized monitoring equipment in the Cardiac Cath Lab during invasive cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of a Cardiologist. The technologist oversees procedure setup, closely monitors patients' vital signs, heart rhythm, and blood pressure, operates specialized cardiac equipment, and ensures accurate and comprehensive documentation. Additionally, they are accountable for capturing item usage during each procedure and performing other related duties as required.

Regularly lifts supplies to restock procedure rooms or pacemaker analyzer less than 10 lbs.
Occasionally lifts/moves or transports equipment and patients over 50 lbs.
Higher level of attentiveness and alertness are required when recording ECG levels, blood pressure, oxygen changes, or abnormal rhythms, when doing valve flow/area and shunt determinations calculations, and when analyzing blood samples for catheterization.
Job Qualifications
Graduation with a Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology from a recognized/approved college is required
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A satisfactory record of work performance is required
*Should there be no qualified internal/external candidates, consideration may be given to a candidate who has graduated from a post-secondary degree or diploma in a health care related field, who also has thorough knowledge and skills in adult cardiac care, including cardiac anatomy and physiology, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring.
