Moosehead has a maternity-leave vacancy for an Assistant Trade Marketing Manager for our Partner Brands (Twisted Tea, Truly Hard Seltzer, Angry Orchard, Samuel Adams). This is a "remote" position, and the successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Trade & Partnerships Manager.
The Assistant Trade Marketing Manager will provide key support in the development and execution of overall trade strategy to meet brand portfolio objectives. They also need to balance creative/communication skills with critical thinking, project management and analytics to achieve best in class marketing plans in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Implement pricing, promotional, merchandising and distribution strategies to support brand and category plans.
- Assist in promotional activities from ideation and planning through to and execution of events, sponsorships, and activations.
- Work closely with the Integrated Agency Team to support effective execution of national retail programs
- Complete regular performance analysis using market research, data, and competitive analysis.
- Provide fact-based analytical information to support consumer and customer initiatives and to drive portfolio profitability and growth.
- Assist in the development of Brand Plans and Business Reviews.
- Work with multiple teams to develop and execute multi-channel marketing plans and product launches.
- Lead planning, development and tracking of custom POS including point-of sales material and sell sheets.
- Collaborate and build relationships with the US brand team and drive cross-functional initiatives internally.
- Develop presentations, tools, sell sheets and kit materials for sales team.
- Assist with the development and execution of retail and on-premises promotions and trade programs designed to gain volume, market share.
- Ensure programs are executed with excellence, on time and on strategy as it pertains to retail, grocery, agency, on-premises channels.
- Assist in managing trade marketing budget. Work with key stakeholders to ensure optimal spending.
- Perform administrative responsibilities associated with the brand portfolio.
- Post-secondary education, Business Marketing concentration preferred
- 2-3 years marketing experience, beverage alcohol industry experience is an asset
- Superior communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Creative, out-of-the box thinking with the ability to commercialize an idea and execute against it
- Experience managing marketing budgets
- Strong analytical skills, financial skills and P&L understanding
- Capable of analyzing data & drawing conclusions from the data
- Able to work autonomously & provide independent opinions
- Proficiency with PC applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Travel within the US and Canada required
