We are recruiting to fill the role of Accountant and Budget Analyst.

The Accountant and Budget Analyst is a key member of the finance team involved in the preparation, analysis, monitoring, and maintenance of annual operating and capital budgets,the annual financial statement process, and the reconciliation and preparation of external financial information and regulatory returns related to budget and year-end.

What you can offer:

  • You have a Degree in Commerce, Business, or related with a specialization in accounting.
  • You have a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) or you are in the final stages of obtaining a designation.
  • You have several years of experience in budgeting, reporting and year-end audit responsibility; experience working in a public sector environment would be an asset.
  • You have working experience with financial controls, accounting and audit principles, theories and practices.
  • You are able to interpret various acts and regulations such as the Assessment Act, Water Utility legislation, and Municipal Government Act.
  • You are a great multi-tasker, with experience managing projects or initiatives to completion, meeting your requirements and deadlines.
  • You are a great relationship builder, and can effectively build trust in order to collaborate with your team, other team members outside of your department, community partners, and the public.

Annual Salary: $76,638 - $95,799
