What you will do
As a member of the Larry's Gulch Lodge team, you will be responsible for providing customer service and performing related cash handling duties. The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and responding to guest inquiries
- Assisting with check-ins and check-outs, ensuring smooth transitions for guests
- Providing an overview of the lodge
- Assisting in arranging fishing permits or licenses if required
- Operating the cash register and managing cash floats
- Cleaning work area daily and weekly
- Assisting in the embarkation of clients
- Greeting clients at dock
- Assisting in serving meals and set out evening snacks for clients
- Performing other tasks assigned
Work Environment
- Working variable hours, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Lifting light to moderate weight supplies
Who you are
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
Need to have
- Completion of grade 10
- Experience in retail, customer service or sales
- Minimum of three (3) months related experience
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
- Spoken competence in English and French is required
Nice to have
- Solid understanding of local salmon, fishing seasons, and regulations
- Incorporate storytelling about the area's fishing traditions
- Encouraging catch and release practices and eco-friendly operations
Wage
$20.67 per hour
