Source Atlantic is seeking a Senior Commercial Estimator / Market Development Manager (Mechanical) - to join our team in Dartmouth, NS.

This is a senior level position on our Plumbing & HVAC Sales Team, and reports to the Regional Sales Manager the key responsibilities of the Senior Estimator / Market Development Manager include:

• Responding to inbound customer inquiries in person, over phone, and via email
• Preparing commercial quotes using drawing take-offs
• Collaborate with Supply chain on recommendations for product & contribute to sourcing efforts
• Develop Processes & Manage the Commercial Opportunity Pipeline for the Region
• Collaborate with a small team, ensuring seamless communication, coordination, and project management .
• Collaborate on Strategy with Outside Sales to improve the win ratio with specific customers and projects.
• Supporting outside sales team to meet and exceed needs of customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers to gather pricing for bids,
• Analyze risk on successful quote and review with manager

The ideal candidate possesses:

• 5-7 years experience in commercial estimating in a distribution/wholesale environment or working directly for a sub-contractor.
• Knowledge of Mechanical and HVAC Systems used in Multi Family, and commercial construction.
• High proficiency in communication to support collaboration and accuracy.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer software
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Energetic, self-motivated, possessing a good work ethic
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of market dynamics and the contractor base throughout Atlantic Canada is considered a significant asset
