As a senior member of the Finance team, you will participate in the planning, preparation, and detailed analysis of financial statements as well as the annual audit. You will be responsible for analyzing and implementing IFRS and regulatory standards (FCNB, OSFI, AMF, ACCAP). The ultimate goal is to prepare financial statements and various reports in compliance with various requirements.
- Participate in the production of the Company's financial statements and prepare analyses to ensure data accuracy.
- Analyze complex accounting transactions for appropriate treatment in quarterly financial statements.
- Analyze and interpret required standards to determine and communicate their impacts on the Company and its subsidiaries.
- Draft accounting positions for the implementation of new standards or specialized transactions, and review them with the Manager, Director, and Auditor.
- Prepare and communicate a work plan for the implementation of standards.
- Effectively communicate work plan updates, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and actively collaborate with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Participate in exchange groups and training sessions to stay updated on IFRS and regulatory standards.
- Participate in the coordination of the year-end audit process and annual financial reports to meet the requirements of the Board of Directors and regulatory authorities.
- Serve as the primary contact for auditor inquiries and coordinate responses with the team.
- University degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
- CPA certification and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills to interpret the details and impacts of IFRS accounting standards.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent autonomy, organizational skills (priority setting and time management), and professional judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (in both French and English) to clearly draft various required reports and effectively communicate positions.
- Ability to quickly understand accounting processes, including their purpose, the integration of various auxiliary systems, and their impact on financial results.
- Advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and accounting systems (Epicor, IFRS App, Power BI, and Risk Integrity) to adequately extract required data for work and presentations.
