Job Summary
This management support position is responsible for coordinating the effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the Marystown Staffing Office providing service to nursing and support departments on the Burin Peninsula. The incumbent plans and develops daily and weekly staffing assignments and recalls staff to relieve leave for these departments. The incumbent develops master schedule templates and schedules (including summer and Christmas schedules) in accordance with Collective agreements and other guidelines. The incumbent collaborates with management personnel to schedule employees when education/training needs and orientation needs are required. The incumbent is responsible to train new staffing officers and others who are involved in staff recall. This position also completes accurate bi-weekly payroll data entry for all nursing departments and support services departments.

Required to lift objects less than 10lbs, with majority less than 5lbs.
Require frequent bilateral repetitive fine motor skills (i.e. typing and mousing) while entering/maintaining data, as well as a constant requirement for eye/hand coordination to ensure precision in completing work and maintaining database file.
Work provides the opportunity to take postural breaks standing and walking within the office environment.
Job Qualifications
Education
Graduation from High School or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program (HR Concentration preferred).
Experience with collective agreement administration and staff scheduling is required.
Course work and proficiency in the MS Office Suite and Internet browsing is required.
Experience
A minimum of three years' experience within the last five in a progressively responsible administrative role is required.
Considerable experience meeting deadlines, while maintaining a high level of productivity, accuracy and efficiency.
