You will be a part of our People Advisory Services (PAS) practice within the Mobility Tax group. Our PAS practice provides high-quality compliance and advisory solutions to help our clients drive organizational success through human capital. Our practice is one of the world's largest and has talented and innovative professionals dedicated to teamwork and exceptional client service. People Advisory Services encompasses Mobility, Global Employment Tax Services, Total Rewards, and Immigration services. At EY, we believe in the power of our people. Your key responsibilities
Take on this challenging and rewarding role as a Seasonal Tax Reviewer and gain valuable experience while collaborating with a team of tax professionals dedicated to excellence. You will perform detailed review work on both Canadian and/or US personal tax returns for internationally mobile employees of our global international clients.
Skills and attributes for success
- Review personal tax returns;
- Research client issues that arise from compliance work using a variety of on-line sources;
- Correspond with managers, staff and/or clients in answering clients' specific personal tax queries or about matters that arise from compliance;
- Demonstrate professionalism through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work products.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 2+ years previous experience reviewing Canadian and/or US personal tax returns
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and strong verbal and written communication skills;
- A positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure;
- If performing US tax work, the ability to obtain a US PTIN number;
- Be available during March and April, however upon mutual agreement, a longer-term contract is possible.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Knowledge of TaxPrep or CCH software would be an asset;
- Previous experience with tax research tools would be an asset.

- Prior experience in US personal tax is advantageous, but not necessary.
