We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach. As the Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
Reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Managing accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
Performing reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
Creating and posting journal entries with precision and timeliness.
Preparing and submitting monthly tax filings, including HST/GST, QST, and payroll remittances.
Supporting the full month-end cycle to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Assisting in the implementation and refinement of process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Collaborating with management to prepare various financial reports and documents.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and adaptability to change.

Proficiency in a computerized environment, including advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certification in accounting is required.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role.
Previous experience in the construction industry is considered an asset.
Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional and multi-currency operations is an advantage.
Proficiency with Jonas Construction Software is a strong asset.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
