Position Overview:

Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Reporting To: Board of Directors

Key Focus: Leading and advocating for New Brunswick's tourism industry at provincial, Atlantic, and national levels, ensuring a sustainable and progressive environment for industry growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Board and Stakeholder Support:

Keep the Board informed on important issues.

Act as the organization's public and industry-facing representative.

Work with stakeholders and elected officials to advance industry policies.

Membership Development:

Expand and maintain association membership and engagement.

Project Development and Partnerships:

Identify growth opportunities, secure funding, and develop training programs.

Build partnerships to foster sustainability and industry advancement.

Financial Management:

Develop and oversee sound financial practices alongside the treasurer.

Operational Leadership:

Oversee staff, daily operations, and strategic initiatives.

Manage planning, budgeting, marketing, and communication efforts.

Requirements:

Bilingualism (English and French).

Tourism Industry Expertise:

Minimum 5 years of tourism experience, with at least 3 years in senior management.

Proven ability to work with boards, stakeholders, and governments on contentious issues.

Skills and Qualities:

Strategic vision, strong leadership, financial management, and communication skills.

Experience in marketing, strategic planning, and team building.

Results-driven with a track record of problem-solving and multitasking.
