The Clerk Manager carries dual responsibilities within the Court of King's Bench and the Provincial Court in a designated region.
The successful candidate will oversee and ensure the effective and efficient functioning of Court operations for both the Court of King's Bench and the Provincial Court in their respective region. This involves providing general oversight, implementation of policies and procedures, managing court staff, and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support the smooth functioning of the Courts.

What you will do
As the Clerk of the Court of King's Bench, the successful candidate will be responsible for the administration of the court's registry. This entails reviewing all files related to court proceedings, assessing their validity and completeness, and accepting or rejecting them based on established criteria. You will provide guidance to court participants regarding the appropriate steps to be taken within the legal process. You will support the judiciary, promote access to justice and maintain the integrity of legal proceedings.

Work environment

  • Office Location: Edmundston Court House
  • Minimum 36.25 work hours per week

Need to have (their essential skills and qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Arts or Public Administration, Law or related field, and five (5) years of related work experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of management/supervisory experience is required.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required, please state your language capability.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: The following operational requirement(s) is also required:

  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.

Wage
$2,499- $3,490 biweekly depending on education and experience.
