Perennial, a key part of the KMK group of companies, is looking for an Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk to join its accounting team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and an eye for detail to play an integral role in supporting the company's financial operations.

Meridia Recruitment is excited to partner with Perennial Management in finding a motivated and reliable Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this position is critical to ensuring smooth and accurate financial transactions across the company. The clerk will be responsible for processing accounts payable and receivable transactions, managing vendor communications, and contributing to the company's financial reporting and reconciliations.

What You'll Do:

  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Processing: Manage accounts payable invoices, sort and distribute incoming invoices for approval, and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Vendor Relations: Communicate with vendors and in-house staff to resolve accounts payable issues and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements, process payments via EFT and checks, and perform monthly reconciliations of inter-company accounts.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and post recurring journal entries to ensure accurate accounting records.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage the Workplace NL subcontractors list, ensuring clearances are up-to-date and processed for payment.
  • File Management: Maintain a well-organized vendor invoice filing system and set up new vendors as required.

Who You Are:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounts payable position, ideally in a group of companies.
  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively resolve accounts payable issues.
  • Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with an ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with PO systems and familiarity with Yardi software is an asset.
  • Self-Driven: Able to work independently with a high degree of accountability for work assigned.
