NORTHERN ZONE
The Department of Social Development is seeking individuals to join the Income Support Team as Needs Assessor and/or Case Manager in its Edmundston office and in other areas of the Northern Zone.
As a member of the Income Support team, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing professional, administrative and counselling work related to the programs and services of Social Development. Major duties can include: assessing the needs of applicants, assisting clients to develop and implement action plans, determining and providing financial supports, referring clients to appropriate services, assessing and verifying applicant eligibility for financial assistance, and documenting and updating client files. Other related duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from University at the bachelor level with a degree in a related discipline.
Written and spoken competence in French is required for some vacancies while other vacancies require written and spoken competence in English and French. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience in one or more of the following asset qualifications:
• Experience in Case Management;
• Experience in Individual Financial Assessments;
• Experience in Counselling; and/or
• Knowledge of NB Case or NB Families.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be able to transport themselves for work purposes. Travel within the region and some travel within the Province is required to do home visits.

Salary: $70,538 to $86,502 per annum
