Purpose

Leading the FX Operations team within Derivatives & FX Services at GWO Canada, the Manager will oversee trade confirmation, settlement, and post-settlement reconciliation while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Team Leadership

  • Manage, train, and develop a team of FX operations professionals
  • Drive performance through goal setting, coaching, and regular feedback
  • Build an inclusive, high-performance environment through effective recruitment and talent development

Operations & Risk Management

  • Oversee trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes
  • Manage operational risk through robust controls and process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and bank policies
  • Coordinate with stakeholders on new product documentation and non-standard requirements

Process Improvement & Change Management

  • Identify and implement operational efficiency improvements
  • Lead technology and process change initiatives
  • Provide operational insights and recommendations to senior management
  • Maintain and enhance reporting frameworks

Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal/external customers
  • Partner with Legal, Front Office, and other operational groups
  • Manage issue resolution and stakeholder expectations


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Capital Markets
  • Prior people leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of FX operations and risk management
  • Knowledge of FX trading systems and market infrastructure
  • Experience with regulatory compliance in financial services
  • Project management experience

Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
