The Manager, Small Business Deposits and Partner Offerings is responsible for the suite of Small Business deposit products, ensuring they are competitively positioned, profitability is maximized, and existing and future customers' needs are met. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Deposits and Partner Offerings, the incumbent will lead multiple initiatives to drive growth, optimize capabilities, and monitor performance to ensure we meet or exceed goals and objectives.

Specifically, the Manager, Small Business Deposits and Partner Offerings is responsible for the following;

  • Support the growth of deposits and revenue through leading and participating in strategic projects and initiatives such as campaigns and promotions.

  • Develop, enhance, and analyze Small Business deposit product profitability and features resulting in business cases and recommendations to improve product competitiveness and to maximize profitability and deposit growth

  • Provide effective support to Branches (SBAs, SBDMs, RDs etc.), Small Business support teams, and Bank partners

  • Assist the Senior Manager in strategy formulation and in executing resulting tactics to achieve organizational goals

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Support the development and execution of the Deposit Strategy. Effective data gathering and analysis using MS Excel at an advanced level. Develop and refine analytical frameworks to measure and project: profitability, Primary Customer, NIAT, and other metrics.

  • Develop, enhance, and analyze Small Business deposit product profitability and features. Gather competitive intelligence on competitor offerings and pricing. Make actionable recommendations for improvement.

  • Effectively and independently lead projects and initiatives when assigned by the Senior Manager. Plan and execute projects in order to meet inflexible and short timelines.

  • Create well-developed, management-facing business cases for new product recommendations and marketing campaigns

  • Effective tracking and reporting of marketing campaign results

  • Subject matter expert on Small Business deposit accounts, investments, and cash management/payment products

  • Regular and frequent interaction with branch partners (SBAs, SBDM, Regional Directors, etc.)

  • Presentations to Small Business Distribution either in person (GTA) or remotely: campaigns and promotion support, product knowledge building, review of results, and best practices discussions.

  • Develop product support materials for use by Small Business Advisors

  • Work effectively with internal Bank partners and stakeholders such as: Global Business Payments, Small Business Sales Support, Business Services Centre, Customer Contact Centre, and other groups within the Bank.

  • Must maintain a thorough knowledge of Small Business Job Aids, Manuals & Guides

  • Act as primary point of contact for all support channels for issues, questions, inquiries about transaction banking and deposit products. Provides subject matter expert support (on a daily basis) to Sales & Service Support teams. Includes clarification of Small Business Job Aids, Manuals & Guides. Fields questions and coordinates investigations for complex service and support inquiries from branches.

  • Assists the Senior Manager in supporting the partnerships with Chase and ADP

  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge

  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Thorough knowledge of the Bank's application systems and their relationships within the Bank, especially those used by Small Business Advisors

  • Results oriented with a strong business and marketing acumen and a sense of urgency

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines

  • Excellent analytical and market research skills

  • Undergraduate business degree or equivalent

  • Experience in product, marketing, or finance-related roles

  • Small Business Advisor experience or customer-facing role in a Branch is a definite asset
