This position is a full-time, permanent position, with accountability to the Manager, Group Benefits Solutions.

Position Scope:

As the Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the benefits administration teams. This includes tasks such as document management and data entry, composing and editing correspondence and reports. You will also provide administrative support for various committees.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks with strict timelines.
  • Knowledgeable in records retention and filing processes.
  • A self-starter who can work with little supervision while meeting all job demands.
  • A 'can-do' team player who can offer initiative and enthusiasm to our strong team environment.
  • The ability to work and make decisions independently with sound judgement.
  • Always maintain strict confidentiality and exhibit respect.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to utilize technology trends and developments. Open to learning and promoting new tools and approaches.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Post secondary education in administration or related field.
  • Three (3) years' experience in an Administrative Assistant role.
  • Advanced user of MS365 tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint (advanced level Word and Excel is required); and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Accurate keyboarding with a minimum speed of 60 wpm.
  • Knowledge of employee group benefits and plan administration is an asset.
  • Knowledge of governance and support as it applies to Boards and Committees is an asset.
