The Opportunity
The Learning Operations Manager will play a critical role in managing the operational aspects of the Canadian Learning and Development (L&D) team through process improvement, integration of Global Learning initiatives and guidelines, managing offshore groups and maintaining strong relationships for consistent knowledge and information transfer.
Your key responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Operations
- Work closely with the All-EY/Learning Ops Lead and Director of L&D to make strategic decisions on team operations, resourcing, and structure
- Partner with the All-EY/Learning Ops Lead to oversee, monitor, and establish the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and enhancing financial planning
- Collaborate with the Global Learning teams to oversee the transition and adoption of large global initiatives, and ensure any new information, guidelines, and requirements are shared with the Canada L&D team
- Identify and initiate continuous improvement opportunities across all learning teams, leveraging extensive knowledge of available tools and platforms to drive impactful change
- Manage the Global Continuing Education (CE) policy for EY Canada, ensuring proper firm-wide communication and adherence to SQM requirements
- Oversee the strategic implementation and management of offshore services like the Virtual Talent Hub (VTH), IBM Delivery Services and Learning Solutions Services (LSS) team
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technology to help drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Identify opportunities for Robotics Process Automation (RPA), and determine value add of automation
Team Collaboration and Representation
- Represent Canada in Global and Americas learning calls, gathering process improvement guidance and disseminating information to the Canadian team
- Gather and provide feedback on recommended process improvement initiatives
- Manage and collaborate with geographically diverse teams and resources, leveraging global networks to address queries and find effective solutions
- Manage regular L&D Learning Operations meetings; collaborating with the Director of L&D to draft agenda topics and connect with team members for discussion items
- Consider additional team touch points as needed, to bring together groups and levels to share ideas, collaborate and learn from each other
- Opportunity to represent Canada as the regional Badges champion
Skills and Attributes for Success
- Ability to collaborate with geographically dispersed team members and client-serving personnel
- Strong project management and prioritization skills, able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multiple groups
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Proficiency in SuccessFactors (SF), learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and instructional design software
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in training facilitation
- Demonstrated change management skills
- Leadership capabilities and ability to manage resources
- Strong stakeholder management ability
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Education or experience in Human Resources, Learning, or Talent Development
- Proficiency in advanced capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint (use of pivot tables and v-lookup)
- Proficiency in Zoom, MS Teams, Office 360, and SharePoint
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset

The salary range for this job in British Columbia is $92,300 to $153,800. Individual salaries within this range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and work location city.
