What you will do
In the role of Administrative Assistant, you will be a crucial member of our Human Resources Branch, reporting directly to the Manager of Talent Acquisition and Support. Your responsibilities encompass a range of administrative support services vital to the efficient functioning of our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation: Skillfully prepare, format, proofread, and track various documents to uphold precision and professionalism.
- Inquiry Management: Assist in addressing general inquiries directed to the Human Resources Branch, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- General Support: Provide additional support to the Human Resources Branch as needed, contributing to the smooth operation of daily activities.
- Data Management: Conduct data entry in diverse databases, overseeing tracking, reporting, and other data-related tasks.
- Timesheet Management: Take charge of the submission process for select employee timesheets within the department, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Language Testing and Translation Coordination: Coordinate Second Language testing and handle translation requests to facilitate effective communication.
- Mail Coordination: Manage incoming and outgoing mail efficiently to maintain streamlined communication channels.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and monitor inventory levels to guarantee a sufficient and well-maintained stock.
Your role as an Administrative Assistant will be integral to the success of our Human Resources operations, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
Work environment
- Office Location: Marysville Place, 20 McGloin Street, Fredericton
- Office Layout: Cubicles
- Primarily office-based
- Standard Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM

Need to have (their essential skills and qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED;
- A one-year post-secondary diploma in business, clerical or office administration;
- A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience; and
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Successful candidates will be required to undergo a criminal history clearance and security clearance check.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required, please state your language capability.

Nice to Have (their asset qualifications)
- Advanced experience using the MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Experience using SharePoint and Smartsheet
Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.
Wage: $1625.00 -$1971.00 bi-weekly
