The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual to join the Éducation inclusive branch as an Administrative Assistant in Fredericton.
As a member of the administrative services team of the Services éducatifs francophones division, the successful candidate's duties will include but not be limited to:
- Offering general support by readying materials for provincial learning specialists.
- Creating, combining, and updating various communication documents, charts, and reports.
- Purchasing materials.
- Completing purchase requisitions in NBON for goods and services.
- Organizing, coordinating and attending various meetings. Reserving rooms, food, and equipment.
- Processing invoices and expense claims and overseeing day-to-day budget administration (follow-up).
- Receiving, sorting, and forwarding mail and preparing responses to correspondence.
- Maintaining an efficient filing system.
- Offering support for volume correspondence.
- Answering and following up on telephone calls.

What you will do:
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual to join the Éducation inclusive branch as an Administrative Assistant in Fredericton.
As a member of the administrative services staff team of the Francophone Educational Services division, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to:
¿ Provide general support to provincial learning specialists by preparing materials
¿ Write, merge and update various communication documents, tables, reports
¿ Purchase materials
¿ Complete purchase requests on NBON for services and goods
¿ Organize, coordinate, and attend various meetings. Ensure reservations for rooms, food and equipment.
¿ Process invoices and expense claims and oversee the daily administration of budgets (follow-ups).
¿ Receive, sort, and forward mail and prepare responses to correspondence.
¿ Ensure the maintenance of an efficient filing system.
¿ Provide support when sending large volumes of correspondence.
¿ Answer and follow up on telephone calls.
Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of post-secondary studies in related subjects.
- A minimum of three years' related experience.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in French is required. Please state your language capability.

Salary:
$1,625 to $1,971 biweekly (ASL 3)
Work environment:
- Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton.
- Standard hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
