We are looking for a Director, Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB) Programs and Planning to help support our growing operation .
The Director, ANB Programs and Planning plays a pivotal role in supporting the growth and success of our operations. Reporting to the Vice President, ANB, this position is integral to advancing the programs and planning activities within ANB operations and ensuring consistently high-quality healthcare services to our communities. Key responsibilities include driving continuous quality improvement, implementing monitoring frameworks, supporting staff engagement initiatives, and collaborating closely with the ANB team to achieve program objectives.

This includes active participation in and support of safety-related initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous learning, and maintaining a steadfast commitment to patients, caregivers, and workplace safety.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Project support
Lead, motivate, and oversee project teams to achieve initiative objectives:
- Project planning: The project lead works alongside the project manager to develop a comprehensive project plan that includes project scope , timeline, budget , and resource allocation .
- Team management: The project lead is responsible for managing the project team, assigning tasks, and ensuring team members work effectively together.
- Risk management: Identifying potential risks and blockers to a project is a huge part of project management. Strategies to mitigate risks will be needed, depending on the type and size of the project.
- Communication: The project lead communicates with stakeholders, including clients, team members, and senior management, to ensure everyone is updated on progress.
- Quality assurance: The project lead should ensure that the project meets quality standards and deliverables meet stakeholders' requirements.
- Resource management: Ensure you have the proper resources and keep projects moving forward.
- Budget management: The project lead is responsible for managing the project budget and controlling costs.
- Reporting: The project lead is responsible for preparing project reports, including reports on project progress, resource utilization , and the final project closure report.
- Problem-solving: Problem-solving may be part of any job, but in the world of project management, The project lead should be able to identify problems and find solutions to overcome them
- Leadership: motivate and inspire the project team and, more importantly, enable collaboration .
Policy and Procedure Development and Optimization
- Developing, implementing and monitoring evidence-based policies and procedures.
- Liaise with the MHSNB policy and procedure department to maintain the program operational manual, operational policy manual and leadership manual.
- Analyze current operational procedures to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, or areas for improvement to enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and optimize resource utilization.
- Develop and document standardized procedures for critical operations, including patient intake, data management, and service delivery protocols, ensuring consistency and quality across all service points.
- Implement a continuous improvement process that allows for regular review and timely updates to procedures based on feedback from staff, patients, and changes in the healthcare landscape.
Program Evaluation and Quality Assurance
- Monitor the program's performance, including the set Key Performance Indicators, and address them accordingly.
- Gathering and analyzing data and preparing reports.
- Contribute to establishing a robust framework for monitoring compliance with established policies and procedures, including regular audits, staff assessments, and patient feedback mechanisms.
Partnership Relations & Collaboration
- Build and maintain relationships with government partners, community organizations, healthcare partners, and others.
- Participate and support the coordination with partners to assess community health needs, develop services to meet those needs, and advocate for resources and support.
- Participate and support the development of clear pathways for effective patient flow.
The ideal candidate will have the following education and experience:
- Degree (Business Administration, Public Health, Nursing or Allied Health.
- Possess five years of management, leadership, and supervisory experience in the health care system.
- Demonstrated ability to research and improve processes and reporting.
- Experience with working with clinicians and patients.
- Client focus with a commitment to excellence.
- Can demonstrate experience in a geographically dispersed, complex, multi program/service environment including a multi-unionized environment.
- Translate knowledge to professionals to better support patients.
- Foster an environment that supports interdisciplinary practice and collaborative environments with community partners.
- Conduct real-time assessments monitoring care provisions and clinical outcome measures and indicators;
- Have the ability to exercise independent judgment and can problem solve with discretion;
- Are committed to providing stellar levels of customer/patient service and have a passion for growth within EM/ANB;
- Knowledge of primary care delivery model is considered an asset;
- Experience managing in a virtual setting with be considered an asset;
