We are looking for an Equipment Supply Technician to help support our growing operation which provides exemplary, highly coordinated primary health care in the right place, from the right provider, at the right time.
The Equipment Supply Technician position is a key part of a team that provides a well maintained, safe, effective and efficient fleet of vehicles designed to give optimal customer service and patient care. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure all ambulances are safe, effective, maintained, cleaned and stocked in accordance with policies and procedures as stated by MHSNB and EM/ANB.
Role & Responsibilities: The Equipment Supply Technician shall perform tasks including, but not limited to those identified below.
- operating all vehicles in accordance with all policies of MHSNB and EM/ANB;
- maintaining and ensuring proper documentation on all work orders electronically including quantity, part numbers, description and time to repair within required time frame;
- compiling a list of all mechanical, medical and cleaning parts and supplies as required;
- completing light mechanical repairs as directed;
- ensuring all ambulances and support units based out of the Fleet Service Stations are stocked in accordance to MHSNB and EM/ANB Fleet Policy and Procedures at all times;
- completing drop-off and pick-ups of out-sourced ambulances in conjunction with specific vendors as required;
- conducting all cleaning required to the vehicle interior or exterior in accordance with proper policies and stocking per company standards;
- performing other such similar, comparable or related duties as may be required or assigned.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you:
- have one to two years of related experience and excellent working knowledge of inventory control processes and vehicle detailing preventive maintains programs;
- have working knowledge of standard computer programs (ie. Microsoft Office Suite);
- have completed courses in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and other courses related to ambulance manufacturing, repair, inventory control and cleaning or are willing to obtain these courses within a specified period of time;
- will be required to have a Class 4 driver's licence or be willing to obtain such within a specified period of time;
- are a self-directed individual who displays good decision-making skills and takes initiative as needed;
- possess effective oral and written communication skills;
- enjoy working in computerized, paperless workplace;
- have good interpersonal skills in dealing with people and working in groups.
- Bilingualism would be considered an asset for this position.
