The Opportunity
Our team is looking for an Investment Operations Analyst to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Fund. Reporting to the Director of Investment Operations, you will be responsible for monitoring Fund assets, coordinating rebalancing and cash flows, and ensuring compliance with investment policies. Your work will also include data management, performance analysis, and supporting senior team members with critical insights. Your key activities will include:
- Support relationships with custodians, investment managers, and service providers to ensure quality service and SLA compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of investment activities and resolve discrepancies between internal and external data.
- Analyze and report on investment costs, providing data to support decision-making.
- Monitor asset exposures to ensure compliance with investment policies.
- Coordinate rebalancing activities and support liquidity management to meet funding needs.
- Support cash movements for private market capital calls and distributions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining investment operations policies, procedures, and reporting.
- Monitor investment performance, risk, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Conduct operational due diligence on investment managers, custodians, and service providers.
- Prepare internal and external reports, including performance analysis and variance explanations.
- Coordinate data collection, reconciliations, and reporting from investment managers and custodians.
What you'll bring to the role:
- A post-secondary degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience in investment accounting and operations.
- Completion of a professional finance, investment, or accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial management, with knowledge of capital markets, securities analysis, and portfolio management.
- Familiarity with investment instruments, asset classes, strategies, and related operational processes and systems.
- Knowledge of investment performance measurement, risk management, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in accounting principles, including international and US standards for investment funds.
- Experience with investment management software, portfolio accounting, and performance measurement tools.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Salary Range: $79,100 - $110,600
